MVP Interactive, Six Flags Parks & Sony for Best Brand Execution Within a Specific Marketing Sector for the Hotel Transylvania 2 Monster Morph Application. The honor was awarded by Media Post at their Digital OOO Awards ceremony on November 3rd.
Brand Ambassadors at Six Flag Parks across the country were outfitted with tablets allowing fans to morph their face into one of six characters from the movie. Animated GIFs of the morphs were emailed to guests with more than 4,000 visitors morphing into characters. “Hotel Transylvania 2″ came in first at the box office and scored the best opening for a September film to date.
During the five week campaign, more than 4,000 photos were taken and faces morphed on the 20 tablets deployed across the 10 Six Flags parks, generating more than 114,00 social media impressions between Facebook and Twitter alone. The campaign ran from September 4th through October 4th.
